MARIA welcomes Baserange

MARIA is excited to introduce Baserange, the newest addition to our curated brand portfolio. Founded by Marie-Louise Mogensen and Blandine Legait in 2012, the French label excels at making minimalist, comfortable, and to

p quality essentials from recycled, eco-friendly materials such as organic cotton, bamboo lyocell, hemp, and linen. Baserange favors a small-scale, transparent production, and has established long-term partnerships with European textile factories. The label is committed to sustainability, eschewing trends in favor of timeless designs and easy-to-wear colors. You can check out their latest items at our shop in Frankfurt.

    Exhibition: Julia Vollmer

We’re delighted to display a selection of Frankfurt-based artist Julia Vollmer’s artworks at MARIA. Blending materials and colors, Julia’s layered artworks spring to life and into the viewer’s eye.

The mix of sand, mortar, and putty, combined with expressive colors, generates kinetic energy that instantly affects the spectator. Julia’s creative process is guided by her instinct and her relationship to the canvas, resulting in the spontaneous quality of the artwork.

The exhibition will be on display until the mid of August.

Spring Concerts: SATUK & Schellhaase Roth @ MARIA

Two concerts took place at MARIA Shop in spring 2025. The season kicked off with Satuk: at the annual “Tanz in den Mai” celebration — which this year saw unusually warm temperatures nearing thirty degrees — the Offenbach-based musician performed tracks from his new LP. Before that, DJ duo Jukebox Hearts got the crowd in the right mood.

In early May, the duo Schellhaase Roth also performed at MARIA, coinciding with the launch of their art project Kaiserlei. Together with photographer Basti Schramm, artists Nina Schellhaase and Tim Roth created Kaiserlei as a photographic-musical homage to the Offenbach traffic hub, which is otherwise mostly known as a highway on and off ramp as well as a perpetual construction site.

    New window decoration

New month - new window. In keeping with the upcoming photo exhibition ‘Kaiserlei’ by photographer Sebastian Schramm, MARIA's shop window is also changing. This time characterised by clouds - everything takes off.

Even the little elephant by Andreas Linzer is made to float.

    Introducing: Edward Cuming

Edward Cuming is the newest addition to MARIA’s brand portfolio. The Australian-born, Madrid-based designer creates unorthodox, eye-catching collections with incredible craftsmanship. Edward’s designer clothes are bold, experimental, and dashing — just check out this absolutely wonderful skirt:

Exhibition: Detektiv Tudor unterwegs im Westend by Marius Snüri

We’re happy to host our good friend Marius Snüri and his latest series of artworks that focus on two of Frankfurt’s most iconic logos.

Founded in 1967, the eponymous detective agency’s logo is as much part of Frankfurt’s visual identity as its skyscrapers. Similarly, Marriott’s neon red sign atop the Westend Gate high-rise is an integral part of the cityscape. Just like Tudor’s logo is likely familiar to most passersby in downtown Frankfurt, the Marriott logo has been greeting those driving into the city or approaching by plane since 1989.

Detektiv Tudor unterwegs im Westend (Detective Tudor on the move in Westend) integrates these identity markers into a playful series of abstract comic paintings. The exhibition also includes self-portrait of the artist: unlike most self-portraits, however, the portrait is not a painting or a photograph but a hand-knitted rug.

All artworks are available for purchase at MARIA. The exhibition will be on display until April 5.

MARIA x Oyster Hour T-Shirt Release Event Oyster Party

In late summer, MARIA hosted the creative collective Oyster Hour’s t-shirt release party. Oyster Hour is a creative collective from Frankfurt and Darmstadt that specializes on music and culinary events. For this special occasion celebrating their newest t-shirt design, Joni, Marco, and the Oyster Hour gang served up oysters and pet nat while the girl duo GG Vybe served up groovy house tunes. It was a very good time and a perfect send-off to 2024’s excellent summer.
